The lab is active in research in a number of fields of Data Science, such as big data management, statistics and data analytics, machine learning, knowledge mining from databases, texts and sounds, traffic data exploration and data privacy.<\/p>\n<p>The laboratory has a significant experience in European research projects, most recently H2020-ICT Track&amp;Know (Big Data for Mobility Tracking Knowledge Extraction in Urban Areas, 2018-20), H2020-MSCA-RISE MASTER (Multiple Aspects Trajectory Management and Analysis, 2018-22), H2020-ICT DATACRON (Big Data Analytics for Time Critical Mobility Forecasting, 2016-18).<\/p>\n<p>In its current composition, the laboratory includes the research activities of 9 faculty members (4 different Departments) of the University of Piraeus and supports several experienced and young researchers.
