At the same time, he put forward realistic proposals for accelerating and ensuring the sustainability of IT projects in the public and private sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Financial Data &amp; Growth Potential<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Impressive revenue growth in Greece and Cyprus, with 85% of the annual target achieved by the first half of 2025. For 2024 compared to 2023, sales (consolidated) reached \u20ac77.1 million (+12.3%), with EBITDA at \u20ac5.65 million (+18.8%) and Earnings Before Taxes at \u20ac1.64 million (+41.1%).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Steady improvement in profitability and operational efficiency, with a project portfolio\u2014backlog\u2014exceeding \u20ac150 million.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The company expects revenue of over \u20ac100 million for 2025 (up from \u20ac77 million in 2024)\u2014a 32% increase\u2014and \u20ac6.8 million in EBITDA (up from \u20ac5.7 million in 2024)\u2014a 20.5% increase.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding the Group\u2019s overall performance and positioning, <strong>Mr. Dafnis<\/strong> stated that \u201c&#8230; Greece and Cyprus have seen significant sector-specific economic growth, which has contributed decisively to the increase in revenue and profits. This upward trend is expected to continue, under certain conditions, into the next period through 2027, at least, due to the government\u2019s strategic choice to support the country\u2019s digital transformation, which, however, requires a package of interventions, as we are now in the final stretch\u2026\u201d as he characteristically stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New Projects Awarded to the Group in the First Half of 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Cosmos Business Systems Group has achieved significant success in public and private tenders, securing new contracts with a total value of over \u20ac70 million:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Thorax (in partnership with NOVA): \u20ac50M \u2013 Project of strategic importance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>WiFi4GR: \u20ac4M \u2013 Nationwide connectivity infrastructure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AADE Digitization: \u20ac7M \u2013 Modernization of critical IT infrastructure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CYTA Cyprus: 3-year managed services contract.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cybersecurity for Cypriot Universities: \u20ac4.5M \u2013 CBS IT Systems Cyprus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hellenic Gaming Authority (in partnership with Grand Thorton): \u20ac0.8M.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Marina Flisvos Network \/ Lamda Development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PPA Network Infrastructure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These projects reinforce the Group\u2019s position as a highly reliable technology provider and generate steady recurring business across all sectors.<strong><br><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Investments<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the area of new investments, Cosmos has invested and continues to invest in the following sectors as part of its investment program:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>CoRe AI: Innovation with Greek Added Value<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>CoRe AI, a product of Cosmos\u2019 subsidiary NovelCosmos, is already being prepared for deployment in public and private sectors, offering:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Automated decision-making<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Process optimization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhancing productivity and the customer experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Infrastructure Investments 2025\u20132026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>New AI Data Center in Thessaloniki, set to go live this July.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expansion of proprietary infrastructure in Athens, Thessaloniki, and Cyprus, in full compliance with green IT standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>24\/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) with threat intelligence and incident response capabilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Leading Position in Cyprus<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CBS IT Systems Cyprus is establishing itself as a leader in providing ICT and cybersecurity services to the public and education sectors, thereby strengthening the Cypriot economy and its technological ecosystem. The key flagship projects of the first half of the year were the 3-year contract with the Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (CYTA) for Cisco Meraki to provide equipment and managed services nationwide, IT and Cyber Security projects at all public universities in the country for the next 3+ years, and projects in the Cypriot banking sector, which is experiencing significant growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Challenges in the Digital Projects Market<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his remarks, Mr. Dafnis highlighted a number of critical challenges that affect the success and implementation of ICT projects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Delays in approvals and permits. Project cancellations. Issues with court rulings regarding contractors that alter the framework of tenders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lack of internal preparedness among agencies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inadequate, general, or overly specialized technical specifications that do not align with the nature of the project<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lack of specialized resources and staffing within companies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Incompatibility with existing information systems. Interoperability issues with existing legacy systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Problems with project financing due to the suspension of payments<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, he presented specific proposals to address these issues, such as the establishment of fast-track mechanisms, assessing readiness by organization, standardizing technical specifications, creating a National Register of ICT Partners, and providing for funding schemes to continue projects after the RRF expires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Strategic Vital Space &amp; Goals by 2030<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cosmos placed particular emphasis on defining its vital space and stated that it will strive in the coming period to have:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A strong presence in the vital field of digital transformation in which the company operates, with a foothold in key governmental and C-level decision-making circles in the private sector.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participation in projects worth \u20ac430 million by 2030, of which \u20ac300 million in the public sector and \u20ac130 million in the private sector.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vertical integration of personalized solutions per client using AI, with a focus on experience and added value, creating benefits for each client individually.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sales repeatability, i.e., the creation of a recurring business pipeline that will ensure stability and growth in the future.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Mr. Dimitris Dafnis, \u201c Our commitment is not only technological\u2014it is also strategic: to ensure active participation in the critical projects of the next five years, to strengthen our position in the decision-making ecosystem, and to provide solutions that generate real value for citizens, businesses, and government.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What&#8217;s Coming in the Second Half of 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>New RRF &amp; NSRF calls for proposals in which the group will seek to play a leading role<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AI platforms for Smart Cities, HPC, and Digital Government<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development of solutions for Defense, Healthcare, Education, and Local Government<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customized Solutions for Private Sector Businesses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development of the E-Cosmos platform for B2B online sales<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At a press conference for media representatives, the Chairman and CEO of the Cosmos Business Systems Group, Mr. Dimitris Dafnis, presented the results for the first half of 2025, the Group\u2019s strategic investments, and its vision for digital transformation in Greece and Cyprus.
