The National Research and Technology Network (GRNET) is at the forefront of high-performance computing infrastructure, with the development of the first national High Performance Computing (HPC) system to support large-scale scientific applications.
The procurement and installation of the new system was undertaken by Cosmos Business Systems, which successfully completed the deployment of the national HPC system at the facilities of the Ministry of Culture, Education and Religious Affairs, on behalf of GRNET.
The system has been in productive operation by GRNET since September 2015, providing computational infrastructure to researchers from the Greek academic community across all scientific disciplines.
