Cosmos Business Systems is undertaking the implementation of the new HPC & AI Research Infrastructure for the Foundation for Research and Technology

Cosmos Business Systems, an authorized NVIDIA partner,  following a competitive bidding process, was selected as the contractor for the “Procurement of HPC & AI Research Infrastructure” project for the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH) and the Institute of Computer Science.

The project involves the creation of an advanced high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure, designed to support demanding scientific and artificial intelligence (AI) applications.

The new infrastructure will consist of an integrated cluster of computing systems and will include high-performance servers with GPU accelerators, specialized development nodes for application development, user access and infrastructure management systems (login & management servers), as well as a high-performance, high-speed, low-latency network for communication between computing nodes.

According to the project’s technical requirements, the core of the infrastructure will include state-of-the-art NVIDIA Blackwell architecture accelerators, advanced interconnect technologies between GPUs, and InfiniBand NDR400 networking, creating a powerful computing environment for
HPC and AI workloads.

This new contract further strengthens Cosmos Business Systems’ presence in the field of HPC and AI infrastructures, where the company has developed significant expertise through the design and implementation of advanced computing systems for research and academic institutions.
