Cosmos Business Systems receives award at the Bite Awards for its network project at National Bank

Cosmos Business Systems received a BRONZE award at the Bite Awards for the project “Upgrade & Modernization of the Network Infrastructure of the National Bank of Greece” in the category “Network & Communications, awards to Businesses for Optimal Use / Utilization of ICTs”.

The project, for which Cosmos was awarded, is one of the largest in size and complexity projects carried out in Greece in the last two years.

After a long and exhaustive evaluation, the National Bank of Greece assigned to Cosmos Business Systems, as a representative of the manufacturer Huawei, the design, implementation and technical support for 5 years, OF THE ENTIRE central and regional infrastructure of its local networks in over 450 branches and 40 buildings nationwide, fundamentally replacing the existing Cisco installation with Huawei.

This project, including the cable infrastructure, lasts more than 2 years including the extensions, covering the entire territory (500 points). The value of the project places it among the largest private sector projects for 2019/2020 and is at a seven-digit level.

For the needs of the project, more than 25 specialized network engineers, project managers and a support/trouble shooting/help desk mechanism at a 7X24X365 level, as well as our local representatives, are employed.

The award was received by Mr. D. Sourmelides – Sales Manager of the Private Sector and Mr. G. Mouzakis – Project Director of the Technical Department.
