Cosmos Business Systems undertakes the project for the supply of electronic, laboratory, and office equipment for the Athena Research Center

Cosmos Business Systems has signed a contract with the Athena Research Center for the project “Supply of Electronic, Laboratory and Office Equipment”, which forms part of the Research Center’s infrastructure upgrade plan and is funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility through the “Greece 2.0” programme and the European Union – NextGenerationEU.

The project includes the supply and installation of equipment for the Athena Research Center across its facilities in Athens, Maroussi, Patras, and Xanthi, strengthening critical research, technological, and operational infrastructure.

The scope of the project covers a wide range of equipment, including computing and networking infrastructure, CPU and GPU servers, storage and backup systems, 100Gbps / 10Gbps / 1Gbps switches, wireless access points, UPS systems, telecommunications equipment, printers, software licenses, as well as audiovisual systems for presentation halls, teleconferencing rooms, meeting rooms and the Center’s amphitheatre.

In parallel, the project includes advanced laboratory equipment for research purposes, featuring solutions that support multimodal human-computer interaction, human behaviour analysis, motion capture, eye-tracking applications, EEG technologies, robotics, drones for the creation of 3D spatial data, as well as specialised equipment for the HUBIC Lab of the Athena Research Center.

The implementation of the project will make a substantial contribution to enhancing the research and innovation activities of the Athena Research Center by providing state-of-the-art infrastructure that will support scientific research, the development of advanced technological applications, and the operational upgrade of the Center’s facilities.
