Cosmos Business Systems completed the installation of modern SD-WAN equipment in ALPHA BANK Bank Branches throughout Greece. This infrastructure is based on VMware Velocloud equipment, which is one of the most advanced SD WAN technology platforms available today. This is the first and largest project of SD-WAN technology in Greece.
The solution of VMware Velocloud SD-WAN platform covers all the requirements of the organization, such as functionality that allows the reduction of the organization’s telecommunication costs, easy central management & monitoring of the network using appropriate dashboards as well as fast repair of problems & failures using and unskilled personnel. At the same time, through the new technology, extremely high cost savings are achieved in relation to the existing methodologies.
The project started in the first quarter of 2020 and within the year was implemented in almost all Branches. The transition to the new environment was achieved without interrupting the operation of the Bank’s system.
Although the pandemic was in full swing with constant lockdown, this did not stand in the way of the installation of the necessary equipment in the Bank’s 350 Branches throughout Greece, through the very effective management and Project Management of Cosmos and the excellent cooperation with the Executives of Alpha Bank , thus ensuring the quality of deliverables within the project milestones that had been set from the beginning.
