Cosmos Business Systems, in collaboration with its software development subsidiary Cosmos Consulting, has completed the design and development of a new application for the statistical operations of the Department of Registers and Large Enterprises of the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT), contributing significantly to the modernization of critical functions that support the production of official statistics for the country.
The project involved the development of application software for the Statistical Business Register, the Register of European Business Groups (EuroGroups Register – EGR), Business Demography, as well as specific functions supporting profiling tasks, intra-group transactions, Large Case Units (LCU), and the production of experimental statistics. The project’s objective was to automate critical processes, improve data verification and processing, and enhance the reliability and efficiency of ELSTAT’s statistical operations.
With the completion of the project, ELSTAT has acquired a modern information tool that enhances the management and utilization of business activity data, improves the interoperability of individual statistical subjects, and creates the conditions for even more accurate, timely, and high-quality statistical information.
