Cosmos Business Systems, as NVIDIA Preferred Partner and the only NVIDIA representative in the Balkans with certifications in Virtualization & Compute DGX, signed the contract with the Hellenic Mediterranean University for the purchase of the nVidia DGX-A100 Supercomputer, worth € 300,000.
The nVidia DGX-A100 Super-computer will be one of the fastest in Greece (5 petaFLOPS processing speed), and will be the ultimate tool for deep learning research. Indicatively, it will be used in the following research activities: Autonomous robotic vehicles – Smart Drones, Deep Learning in health applications, Image recognition – Artificial vision, Artificial Neural Networks (Deep Neural Networks) for cancer tumor recognition, Medical image analysis (MRI), M Real-time cyber-attack detection applications, Internet of Things, Creating complex economic models.
Its acquisition and installation is a very important step for the field of science and research in Greece, as it will enable researchers from all fields of science to proceed in a systematic and effective way in their research activities. Also the most important element is that this super-computer can be used by all faculty members of Greek universities and researchers of research institutes.
