Holidays 2030

Rooms that will operate with voice commands, automated reception using facial recognition technology and bathrooms that will monitor our health. The technological revolution could not leave unaffected the hotel businesses that embrace the development of technology as a necessity of our digitalized everyday life.

In the space of ten years, technology will be the one that will largely determine our travel experiences. A key element in accommodation will be personalization, that is, the offering of services according to the personal needs and “wants” of each traveler.

Imagine entering a hotel where a robot welcomes you, another robot takes your suitcases and you, since you have checked in from your mobile phone the day before anyway, go to your room, without having met a single real person so far.

Moving further inside, you will find a room that you can adjust to your every need using your mobile phone. At your disposal will be a series of “smart” devices, as well as technology integrated into the space, to always feel at home and even better. Interactive walls will display your wishes, special pillows will help you enjoy a peaceful sleep, pajamas will monitor your health status and sonic showers will cleanse you using light!

By 2030, space will be a well-organized destination for travelers, as trips in orbit around the Earth will become more affordable. There will be hotels built hundreds of miles above the planet, in addition to those located underwater, with each of the two options offering magnificent views, either up or down.

In 20 years, travelers will be able to enjoy unique travel experiences, while new destinations will also emerge. On the one hand, travel to today’s “No-Go Zones”, that is, areas that are currently affected by unrest, will be allowed, and on the other hand, many will be able to see endangered species or places up close, before they disappear.

An alternative future scenario is mobile homes that can be attached to hotel frames and will allow guests to enjoy all the infrastructure and services of a hotel without even having to leave their home. The hotel of the future must cover a wide range of needs and interests. It must be a place to work, a place to have fun, and a second home at the same time.

Are you ready for your stay in the future?
