The association of companies Cosmos Business Systems and Dynamic Ltd Final contractors for the important project of EDYTE «Hephaestus»

With the signing of the project contract, the National Network of Infrastructure Technology SA (EDYTE SA, GR-NET) was assigned after many months (conduct date 16/12/19) to the association of companies Cosmos Business Systems AEBE and Dynamic Ltd, “Hephaestus” Project implementation, which concerns the network infrastructure of all Country’s Universities.

More specifically, the project amounts to €9.535.600,00 (including VAT) was bidding and participated in:

• “COSMOS SA – DYNAMIKI M. LTD” with Huawei equipment,
• “IBM HELLAS SA” with Juniper equipment, and
• the association “OTE SA – SPACE HELLAS SA” with Cisco equipment (whose offer was finally rejected after an appeal by IBM).

The project’s object is the network and telecommunication equipment’s targeted upgrade of IPHESTUS Act, to ensure the conduct of their research and academic activities in a long-term context.

Cosmos Business Systems is one of the main partners of EDYTE (former GRNET – GRNET) having implemented more than 10 projects after tenders (bidding), including the two (2) High Performance Computers HPC – Supercomputer Centers during the last decade.

The project is expected to be delivered within 2021.
