VMware Workspace ONE (WSO), a single integrated solution for managing and securing all endpoint devices regardless of platform (platform agnostic).
VMware Workspace ONE, a comprehensive endpoint management platform, enhances the digital workplace by combining simplicity in use with increased security. It offers businesses a platform that simply and securely manages any application, even those that the organization offers via cloud (SaaS). It is applied to any device by integrating access management, application management and unified endpoint management regardless of operating system.
Workspace ONE is based on unified endpoint management technology. It integrates virtual application management under a common identity.
The platform allows IT to provide a digital workspace that includes the devices and applications of the company’s choice and depending on the user’s location profile, in the most secure and controlled way, ensuring high levels of remote work security. Today, end users have multiple devices, corporate or BYOD, with various form factors and operating systems. Many of these devices are not managed by IT, which makes it difficult and risky to securely access company systems, especially when a device cannot be considered a “trusted device”.
With Workspace ONE, end users can easily access all the applications they need through a catalog available through a browser or the native Workspace ONE mobile app. End users do not need to remember multiple credentials or type the same password every time they access an application. Through the use of certificates, Workspace ONE provides a secure and easy way to access with SSO. OTP and 2FA are supported through VMware Identity Manager (IDM). Any operating system platform, fixed or mobile device, is supported. To protect the most sensitive information, Workspace ONE combines device and user management in order to enforce access policies based on the policies established by the organization, especially regarding security policies.
If access to sensitive data to remote users and/or unmanaged devices needs to be prevented, this can be done immediately and securely.
In each case, a workflow is imposed on the end user, so that the terminal reaches a state of compliance with the corporate security policy and then gains access to the defined application platform. With this logic of zero trust security, before the terminal device gains access to services and corporate resources, it is checked at various levels so that corrective actions can be taken if necessary.
In the event of a lost or completely compromised device, the device can be remotely wiped. Conditional access policies can also be applied per application. With automated application management, Workspace ONE allows IT to automate application distribution and updates from a central point, including automatic software installation, update and removal. From the above, it follows that VMware WorkSpace One (WSO) is the vehicle for a secure transition to secure and controlled remote access to valuable corporate resources, eliminating all the vulnerabilities that accompany remote work.
